When a dropdown has many choices, finding relevant options can be difficult. Group Choices helps organize them under meaningful headers for better navigation and usability.
Let's check out how Group Choices can be used in Choice-based Field Rules to create a more structured and dynamic form experience.
Navigate to Rules > Choice-based Field Rules and select the Primary Field and Dependent Field from your form to create a new rule. Learn More
If the Primary Field is a drop-down with Group Choices, we have two options for selecting the choices.

Each activity package offers multiple experiences:
Cultural Tours : Museum Tours, Historical Site Visits
Adventure Packages : Mountain Hiking, Sea adventure
Food Experiences : Wine Tasting, Street Food Tours
For a structured listing and improved form-filling experience, travel destinations and activity packages are organized using Group Choices, as shown above.
You need to create a form where users select a city, and based on their selection, only relevant activity packages for that region are displayed. For eg:- Asian cities (Tokyo & Bangkok) offer only adventure packages and food experiences (cultural tours are not available). Each region has its own unique activity packages.

With the Select Groups option, we can map an entire region to specific activities—for example, European destinations (Paris and Rome) offering cultural tours and food experiences.
With the Select Choices within Groups option, we can assign different activity packages to individual cities within the same region—for instance, Rome offers only cultural tours.
Groups and Choices within Groups can also be mapped to normal choices (dropdown, multiple choice) and vice versa. To configure Choice-Based Field Rules for a normal dropdown or a multiple choice field, click here
